Where the fee structures differ

Poshmark

Poshmark has two fee tiers and nothing else. Sales under $15 pay a flat $2.95. Sales of $15 or more pay 20% of the item price. Shipping is handled by a flat-rate label the buyer pays for, so it is never part of your fee calculation.

Mercari

Mercari's fee structure is the simplest of the big US marketplaces: a flat 10% selling fee, calculated on the item price plus whatever the buyer paid for shipping. There is no listing fee and, since January 2025, no separate payment processing fee for sellers.
